How To Root Android phone Without PC

1.Easy Root (No PC Required) for any ZTE Score

All of this seems to be working fine for me but remember you use anything here at your own risk I nor anyone else is responsible for your phone. And Rooting your phone will void your warranty.

I used this method on the Cricket Score. However this has now been confirmed to work on the Metro Score as well(on android forums) So should work no matter wich version you have.

Now that said

All credit and big thanks goes to giantpune at Android Forums as he's the creator of the apk that makes this possible. I'm just posting the steps i took and the results. Here's a link for more info about this apk and it's creator

The only requirement is your phone needs a data connection of some kind(yes wi-fi counts) as you will need to download some stuff on your phone.

Ok to do this you will need to install two apks on your phone.

Poot-debug apk (the one for the pcd venture) found at the above link for giantpunes original post

and

Ministro II Apk (wich can be found on google play store)

Here is a couple mirrored links to the apks needed and I used. You can download these and just use your file manager to install them from your sdcard if you don't wanna go searchin for them.

Poot-Debug Apk

Ministro II Apk

NOTE: search both apk at google.

Once these two apks are installed just follow these steps.

1.) Click on Poot apk to open it.

2.) Ministro will then open and ask you to download some libraries click ok to download them.

3.) Once they're downloaded you'll be presented with two options in the poot apk click on the press here to poot button.

4.) Once poot is done you should be rooted but you will need to go to play store and download Superuser (poot only pushes the binary file to system/xbin it does not install the apk) Once superuser downloads and installs you should be able to grant apks root accsess

I'm adding a another step here cause I feel people just don't get how important it is to flash cwm and make a backup before doing anything else on their freshly rooted phone. So

5.) Download rom manager from play store then use it to flash recovery. Once rom manager is done downloading and flashing recovery click on the reboot to recovery and MAKE A BACKUP.

Here's some things to note about rooting with this method.

The log that the poot apk displays when finished shows a couple errors and even at the bottom says su binary was not written. However half way through the log you can see a + where it wrote su to system/xbin and where it sets perms for su. I will post screenshots of what the log says. You can for the time being ignore the errors seen in my screenshot. It still works. You can verify this by using the built-in rootchecker in the poot apk. Also if you want to use SuperSU you will need to install Superuser first as the binary that poot pushes to phone is for superuser

2.Master Root.

Rooting almost any Android smartphone running Jelly Bean 4.1.x - 4.3.x without computer

If you're using Android 4.1.x - 4.3.x and unable to root it with Framaroot, then you can try using another tool like Root Master. This is a one-click rooting tool as well, just like Framaroot.

Root Master is somewhat confusing, because it uses Chinese and it can't be changed into another language. But don't worry, you'll be able to figure out the root button.

Search "master root apk at google"and then install it.

Just run the app and choose the button located in the middle, there is the word "ROOT".

Root Master will analyze the Android to check whether the system can be rooted or not. If the system is rootable, it will display a button that has the word "ROOT" once again. Tap that button and let the Root Master start the rooting process.

There is a sign that the process has been completed and your Android successfully rooted. Tap the purple button.

Root Master will install an app like Superuser and SuperSU to manage apps that require root access.

I've tested the Root Master on a very unpopular Android devices running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and this app works very well.

Please remember that this method only works on Android 4.1.x - 4.3.x.

3.Universal AndRoot - 1-click root

This is a guide on how to root your phone and install a custom ROM using Universal AndRoot. It supports several phone models and is the simplest way to root a phone I have ever seen. It features a 1 click root and a 1 click unroot option. Rooting with this method does NOT affect your bootloader, therefore if your phone needs serviced you can (theoretically, I have not verified this to be true) simply unroot and restore to normal.

As always myself, XDA, ROM developers, your friends, your mom, the rulers of the world and the developers of this app are NOT responsible for any bricks YOU create by taking the risk of rooting your phone. Also there are no guarantees that your warranty will not be null and void. If you NEED your warranty, DO NOT root your phone. Use at your own risk!

Next go to the Android Market and install AppInstaller (there are a few versions including appsInstaller by modmymobile, all are free)
While in the market, also grab ROM Manager (also free)
Next download the ROM you would like to use. I personally recommend CyanogenMod 6.0.0 DS - also grab the Google Addon pack for your phone.
Of course it is up to you to choose a ROM you like. You can also keep your stock ROM if you choose.

Lets Begin!
Install the Universal AndRoot .apk file, the ROM you chose and the Google Addon to the root of your microSD card

Open AppInstaller and let it locate your AndRoot .apk on your microSD. Select it and install it to your phone.

Open Universal AndRoot from you app menu. It should read your phone and show your firmware version. Click the "Root" button and let it do it's thing. It really only takes a minute or 2. When finished it will let you know. Congratulations, at this point you are now rooted.

Now for a custom ROM!

Open ROM Manager. Install Recovery. The default recovery for ROM Manager is ClockworkMod Recovery (which is what I am using) but a lot of people seem to like RA Recovery. This option is at the bottom of ROM Manager under "Flash Alternate Recovery". Whichever you choose, let the Recovery flash.

Next choose "Backup Current ROM", then "Reboot Into Recovery" (for future reference, you can also get into recovery mode by turning your phone off, then hold down the "home" button hit the power button. continue hold home as it powers on.)

Chose "wipe data/factory reset" then "wipe cache partition". This step is important. I know from personal experience if you don't do this you may end up in a bootscreen loop!

Choose "install zip from sdcard". Navigate to the ROM you loaded on your microSD and flash it.

After the phone reboots (which can take a few minutes the first time after flashing a new firmware version) go back to ROM Manager and again choose "Reboot Into Recovery". Once in recovery, again choose "install zip from sdcard". Navigate to the Google Addon pack on your microSD and install it.

Once you are rooted and running your new ROM, go into ROM Manager and partition your sd card. This is optional.

That is it. You should be good to go! Way easier and faster than the old goldcard method!

Gingerbreak apk ROOT

FULL CREDIT GOES TO XDA DEVELOPERS FOR THIS APK AND TUTORIAL..!!!

Gingerbreak is an exploit that has been fixed in many of the latest Android versions and releases. If it does not work, it does not work. I can't "fix" the exploit, you will have to wait for a new exploit to come out, or root a different way! 90% SUPPORTED ON 2.2 FROYO USERS.

Here we presenting another Common ROOTING Trick Gingerbreak apk Easy ROOTING.

This app works with almost all the android devices and is much easier to use. Before you start the rooting process with this app, make sure that you enabled the USB debugging on your android phone. You can simply do it by: Settings->Applications->Development and enabling “USB Debugging.

Requirement.

=> You need GingerBreak apk search it on google.

Installation - Optional: Press the Thanks button below this post - Make sure USB debugging is enabled - Make sure you have an SD card (formatted and) inserted - Get the APK on the phone somehow, and install it - Open the APK, press the root button - Wait a few minutes.

If there are no problems, the device will reboot (note that the reboot itself can take like 10 minutes due to cache wipe) - Make sure the Superuser app is install and working - Optional: Install BusyBox from Market (I personally prefer the stericsson installer) - Optional: Uninstall GingerBreak, you don't need it on your phone anymore - Optional: Make a donation on XDA original thread

There you go! you now have a rooted handset ready to accept any custom ROM.

Towelroot Roots Many KitKat Devices in One Tap, No PC Required

Android (4.4+): Rooting your Android phone or tablet involves connecting it to the PC, using ADB. But developer geohot has now released Towelroot, a new tool that makes rooting many Android devices as simple as installing an app and running it.

Before you continue, there are a few things you should know. First, rooting your device usually voids your warranty. Second, this tool works on phones running Android KitKat. Third, it won't work with Motorola or HTC phones.

Installing and running it is pretty easy. Go to Settings -> Security and enable installing apps from unknown sources, download and install the APK, and run it. It takes about a minute for your device to be rooted and reboot. Check whether it worked using root checker. Check out GadgetHack's video below for a walkthrough:

Originally, this hack was made to root the Samsung Galaxy S5 on AT&T or Verizon, but users are reporting success with several other models. We asked several friends to try it out and used a few of our own unrooted devices and it worked with the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Google Nexus 5, Google Nexus 7 (2013) and the LG G2. It did not work with the HTC One M8, Moto E, Moto G and HTC One Mini.

As WonderHowTo notes, Towelroot gives any app root access if it's asked. This could be a major security risk, so you should install a root management app likeSuperUser. Head to the WonderHowTo link below for more details on this.
